Wonderful staff Nursing staff is exceptional. Caring and kind. Supportive and attentive. Highly recommended this hospital. Amazing Dr's aswell. Each staff member is very friendly.
This hospital does not live up to "private" hospital standards. For some reason the kitchen staff cannot read the word "cold" when giving milk for breakfast and every. Single. Day. I have to call the kitchen staff back and ask for cold milk. The kitchen staff is often unfriendly. Honestly it's bad enough as it is having to lie in a hospital bed without having to lie in a hospital bed without entertainment. I used up the ridiculously small amount of WiFi allocated to me on the guest WiFi and was then told that the patient WiFi was down and no one would be there to fix it for another two days. I was given the run around when I then asked for the password to any one of the other WiFis that ended with "we don't know". This is ridiculous and I hate coming to this hospital. The only, I repeat ONLY, reason I am here is because Greg Calligaro is the best doctor I've ever had and this is where he is based. I feel very entitled to speak on the shortcomings of this hospital as I've spent months here.
One of the WORST hospitalisation experiences I’ve ever had at any hospital, except for one or two friendly nurses and technicians! Some of the doctors are just outright rude and unprofessional! Being late or simply not showing up is the order of the day.
I had a surgical procedure done and stayed overnight in ward 2. To say that I'm impressed with the nurses and doctors at this hospital would be an understatement. It was my first time having surgery and staying at a hospital and everyone here made sure that I was treated so well, they were gentle and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable.I didn't want to go homefelt like a vacation. Thank you so much to all the wonderful people who helped make my first time an enjoyable, less frightening experience God bless.
Oh such a carer place where the sick person is considered special and always willing to help. I really like the approach of doctors and nurses.
I had THE BEST experience with both Prof Panieri Endocrine and Dr Greg Symons Pulmonology who are THE MOST caring individuals. I feel truly blessed to have found these great humans at a confusing and scary point in my life. It felt really good to feel "Cared For" and not like "just another number". I would recommend these Doctors to anyone needing an Endocrinologist and/or a Pulmonologist who showed a genuine interest in their patients. They are an exceptional model of healthcare at its best and a true boon to Netcare - UCT Private Academic.
My physician Prof Greg Calligaro is extremely professional and yet still so attentive. He took time to respond to my emails an and spent an hour in our consultation. I had a bronchoscopy procedure last Friday and the nurses, porters and Doctors made me feel totally at ease and well taken care of.My only negative, is with the cleaning company, who never refilled the toilet paper in two bathrooms that I used.
My Son was admitted with a very rare autoimmune illness in April this year. The care he was given was superb Prof Dheda, Prof Louw and their team of specialists covered every possibility , diagnosed efficiently and treated effectively. There was time taken to explain everything. The Hospital Matron made allowances for me to spend as much as possible time with my son and also allowed for frequent visits from close family. Mr Daniel Mathew the Hospital General manager is very approachable and interested . The staff was friendly and helpful. Basically every one from reception through admin to ICU was friendly and helpful. I Highly recommend this hospital
Friendly & Professional staff
The most disgusting hospital I have ever encountered and the nurses are honesty pathetic, unhygienic and do not care at all.
