It's a treat to visit the Virgin Active Sunningdale gym. The staff is always friendly and ready to help you. Everything is clean and hygiene seems to be very important to them. They are always busy cleaning, which I like to see. I would definitely recommend them too others.
I enjoy going to this gym. It fills up during peak hours. However, you still manage to get a workout routine going most of the time. I also enjoy the variety of classes they have.
I am absolutely disgusted with Virgin Active which we have very nicely been turned away. They wanted documentation for my granddaughter who is 14 years and I gave them everything and because she was placed in my care by a magistrate they now want the first document to see what is happening with the court case, what I would like to know gives them the right to obtain personal history on anyone it doesn't effect her health etc. I mean really now you don't accept a stamped court order which the schools or medical aid are happy with but you want her history at a gym...wow wow wow and now I am worse than furious with these people, I applied for my granddaughter and was turned away because they needed to know her entire life's history from birth but they still take my money what gives you the right. Last month I was told its a mistake and what is it now when you do it again....I call it stealing peoples money. You don't even have a signed mandate but you still manage it. You people are just stealing my money.
Seven months ago, I thought I had lost my wallet- inside it, there was R1000, my bank card, my driving license, and a few other cards. On Saturday the 26 of November, a guy named Daniel messaged me and told me that he handed in the wallet at virgin active- he looked for my social media and couldn’t find it but luckily he messaged one of my friends, and my friend forward it to me. I went up to the gym and ask about my wallet. They say it is not there. Which makes no sense cause where else could it goes?
“The Rockstar Gym”. It’s not not uncommon to see professional body builders and strongmen working out here. The layout of the building and equipment make this a fun efficient place to get your workout done. The natural lighting that pours in from the massive windows give it a great glow and the friendly staff go out of their way to motivate you to be your best. This gym is a gym for everyone! Pool/ weights/ sauna / steam room - the reason I love this gym is because the sauna and the steam room is literally next to the pool so you can swim and then sweat wash off at the shower found between the steam room and the sauna and then hit the pool again. I go out of my way to come just to this gym. It’s my favourite
Great gym but have had a bad experience with the manager Cindie Otto. A wallet was stolen at the gym by a member of staff , and she with an attitude told me I am but must go to the police and it has been dealt with internally
Very neat gym with modern equipment. Very busy in the evenings. Showers are larger than most of the older Virgin gyms. The kids play areas are exceptionally good. There are only 3 wattbikes, for the more serious cyclists.
We've joined the end of last year and just love to go workout There is a kiddies area so you can drop your kid off for your workout and they just love it there the play area is extremely big and the staff looking after them is so engaging and you can see they just love their job. The gym also have a massive bathroom area for you to be all cleaned up after your intense workout. The large variety of equipment is always clean as the people clean the equipment after being used. Large pool area if you want to exercise your swimming skills. Very nice gym ‍
Super disappointed as I was advised there was a generator. All that was left when the power went off was emergency lights that lasted for a total after which all customers were asked to evacuate mid workout... not cool.
It's a gym...what can I say. Rush hour is crazy busy, but you just gotta get in and claim your space ... will add more photos next time..what do you want to see of the gym?
