Vista Mare Italian Restaurant

We went for dinner on a Monday evening. It was a huge place with lots of tables so we could walk in and get a seat. The staff were friendly and efficient in taking our orders. In terms of authenticity, I wouldn’t say it is like a real Italian restaurant, but more like the dishes have been adapted to South african taste. We had the Recco classico pasta with chicken and the salmon trout, both were good. Portions were huge.

10 out of 10. We had the most amazing view of the waterfront. Our waiter Nigel was so friedlndly and made excellent recommendations for our meals. The food was fresh the drinks were delicious. I just wish the starter menu had more that 5 items on it. Most of which consisted out of livers.Food: 5/5

One of the best restaurants in Cape Town! The staff is well trained you feel the positive energy when you walk in. The staff will make sure your experience is one not to forget and the food is fresh, well presented and tasty. A must visit when you are in Cape Town.

Was very disappointed on a meal we had at this Primi. The photo is of a chicken schnitzel. How can they serve a product of such poor quality. The manager has not charged us for it but also it was not eaten. .

The food and cocktails we ordered were really good. The restaurant was pretty packed but didn't take away from the service and atmosphere. The only reason I'm giving it three stars overall is because we did spot a few conckroaches at the bottom of some of the sliding windows.Food: 5/5

The food and atmosphere are always great here as well as the service. However, this time, I asked for water, and I'm still waiting for it. It is a bit cold where we were sitting. Make sure you dress warm in winter. We didn't wait long for our food either. I will always recommend Primi, but I am not sure what happened with the service.Food: 5/5

Popped in for some dessert this evening for the kids. I must say the place was buzzing. Staff were very busy, but you could see they were on top of their game, lots of management presence as well. Ordered the cheesecake and malva for the kids. Both were really delicious. I really want to go back for the food.

Not my typical choice of a place to eat but my son was craving spaghetti bolognese and out of all places, it was a safer choice and we were in the mall. I was surprised the food was actually good. The pastas was cooked al dente and good amount of sauces. Good portion sizes and my prawn pasta dish was juicy not mushy prawns the only negative why I gave it a 4-star for food was that the bolognese had really little mince meats and little light in flavours. For the price, you can't complain and at the end, my son was happy. The zucchini fries were my favourite. Crispy on the outside and chewable inside. As mentioned, the prices aren't bad. It's affordable and it is inside V&A Waterfront. We ordered drinks that's less than R50 a person. The servers looked happy and joyful, making the dining experience more memorable.

I got a steak that looks like a tower which it was super tasty, eventhought it had a lot of oil, still i would order it again. Got some jamaican cocktails with coffe that it was way to strong for me but then i asked for a Savannah and everything worked just fine. The staff are lovely and helpful. I did forgot my waiter's name but it was something like Anthony or around that name. View was great so I sat there and read for a while before I left. Definitely gonna go again!!!

It was a very efficient establishment from the moment we walked in. Our order was taken, and our drinks and food were delivered incredibly quickly. The portions are quite generous so you are getting your money's worth. And the waiting staff and the manager are all so accommodating and welcoming. It was a little quiet, but the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Plus I could watch the football on more than one screen so I was more than happy.
