Wild Rapids Spur is a family friendly restaurant in the heart of Uitenhage. We offer sizzling burgers, ribs, steaks and many more that the entire family can enjoy together. We are passionate about our customers and always treat them as part of our Spur family. Our main focus is offering value for money and being involved in our Community, giving back in any way we can. We hold Shadow Shift Evenings to help schools and organizations raise finds, and we also offer Burger Busts, to say thank you to our loyal customers for their unwavering support. We loved our waitress. We were'nt happy with the play area thou. The young girl who worked in the play area allowed 15yr olds in there who was roudy. There were 5 girls going in and out and they were loud. Then our kids where told to quiet down becaus they made a noise. Who is suppose to play in the play area then? She also sat on top of the slide area and chatted to one boy who was +-15years old,who also sat in the way of the slide. This is unacceptable. How can we who were 6 grown ups enjoy our meal if we have to keep an eye out for our kids? I went into the play area about 5 times to check on them when the grown kids where in there And its such a small play area already. Please rather appoint a older girl who can tell the kids above 12 to please leave. Kid-friendliness: Had a problem with the play area due to 15yr old girls being allowed in there. I popped in for a quick brekkie with a friend while passing through the town and I must say,I was impressed by the warm, welcoming and hospitable service that we received. The staff and managers are super friendly and attentive and our food was served hot and delicious. I was also signed up for the awesome rewards app where I'll earn points and vouchers with every order going forward. This is also a kid-friendly Spur as it has a kiddies play area. Keep the high standard!
Third time I have given this spur a chance and it will definitely be the last. This time around was the worst experience by far. The waiter got our order wrong a couple of times and she forgot to bring certain things we ordered. My husband ordered a drink only for it to be brought much later because she forgot and only brought it to us once we reminded her. The fish I ordered was still undercooked and I took the grilled option thinking it will be healthier but it was drenched in butter and oil. We were there at around 7pm and they already rushed us and made us feel so uncomfortable because they were cleaning the tables around us and kept on asking when we will be finished. I don't recommend this spur. The prices is also ridiculous. Since when does a bottle of water cost the same as a glass of coke?
Shared the buffalo combo with my lady....topped it off with full Malva pudding for dessert. That was one awesome experience. Our waiter was just as awesome along with the rest of the staff
Amy, our waitress, was the ultimate hostess. The Manager, Marelize was also very warm and welcoming. Service was extra fast and friendly. WOW
Food and service was okay, the spur just appeared very dark almost no good lighting coming in and trust me this was not at night, it was an early morning breakfast. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere. Parking: There is a car guard, but definitely not a lot of parking if spur had to be full that day.
Good waitressing only problem is the order got a bit back tracked but other than that it was a great experience
Wonderful service by Emmy. Great chef. Excellent cut of filet. For pensioners a gorgeous special @ R 100.00. You must try it. Kudos to managers. They truly keep their vingers on the pulse. Parking: Lots of parking with a very nice Pensioner watching the cars. Been doing it at Spur for ages.
The food was so nice i really enjoyed it.especially the sweet chilli sauce.woooow loved itFood: 5/5
