Was there again for the 4th time just to get a new date, which could just be an email, but can only guess they're not capable of doing so as they never answer, with hours of wait in a very uncomfortable place and treating like an item on a conveyor belt. We all wait for the judge to come out even though dates have already been confirmed, mumble something at 3x speed confirmed by 4 other person next to me as we talk on the way out had no idea what the judge said. Apparently despite not really needing to be involved in the case, I had to be there to 'learn how it works', bit audacious to say when high school student would do a better job, truly a garbage system, the reviews speak for themselves.
If you ever go the section G2 and meet a small little man called Oscar. Government maybe you can send your staff on a soft skills course showing them how exactly to treat people. The service is disgusting and could be simplified with a numbers/que system and for someone actually to listen to what the issue is. Too many people being shoved into a que which could of been avoided if someone had just listened to what the issues was. This is what we get when nothing is invested into infrastructure.... No respect, no service and alot of frustration.
If you want real help. Go the traffic fine section where the girl at the front desk is asleep. When you approach and have a question, she just points to a spot on the bench. I still don't know why I've been benched
Stood in the line for two hours just get to the front and get told that the system is offline.
I was treated really badly by the security at the doors last week. I had taken packed sandwiches because I had to go to home affairs after being at the court so I knew I was going to be out all day. The security shouted at me "get out, I said get out! Go make a plan outside for your food. Get out!" I wasn't going to eat the food inside and thought it was unnecessary to be shouted at like that. The same security ate yoghurt before the doors opened. The ladies toilet was locked and we had to use the male's toilet at our own risk. The staff working there are wearing their masks all wrong.
Pathetic really pathetic. I was charged for 4 traffic offenses I did not commit. 2 at Parow, 1 Town, and one at Wynberg. The fines from Parow and Town was immediately taken off my name when I provided proof that I was not in possession of the vehicle. Alas things are not as black and white at Wynberg Magistrate's Court which I'm sure is no surprise. As we know Wynberg Magistrate's Court is governed by their own laws. I have been told to bring different documents, come back the next day, so many unnecessary issues. I have spent twice the amount of the fine trying to get this offense wiped off my name. The lady behind the counter have absolutely no people skills and absolutely no way of communicating, makes me wonder how she even got this position. I have decided to just leave it as is and wait for a summons and have my day in court. So unnecessary and a waste of tax payers money, if I could I would rate them 0 stars. It means nothing as these government places are never held accountable for anything. Disgraceful.
They don't answer or the number is wrong.
No stars actually, I received an sms that I was summons to appear in court never received a fine in the mail or pulled over, this was news to me only received a notification of this summons AFTER the actual court date!! Not even sure if I have a warrant out because of this but I was told by City of Cape Town to call Wynberg to see if I can get another court date or even just see if I can pay a penalty rather, been calling and emailing FOR A MONTH, every week, NO ANSWER, NO RESPONDS. I am not going to waste my time and money going all the way to court for them to tell me to book another date, they don't even pick up their phones or respond to mail????
Yes we all know what Wynberg Court is like. On 25 May 2021 they tell my husband to be there again on 28 June 2021. And for a fine chick, the Maintenance Officer, Female tells him that Covid is finish and he should just make sure he is there. He is already not working and now he gave out unnecessary travelling fees from Mitchells Plain to Wynberg. Could they not inform the people that appears on a certain day that they would be close? What makes it worse is that on Friday, 25 June I phoned them myself and I was told that they will be open just with skeleton staff. Now you tell me how this court's rules work? They only work when they feel like it. And in the Maintenance section, they don't even give the men a fair hearing.
They do not answer phones. They walk past you in the corridor without helping people that clearly need help. They do not answer emails and they are permanently on a tea break. They are also not educated to deal with the issues that theu are employed to deal with. Very unhelpful and rude people here, well except for security, they are very helpful but clerks I would give a negative amount if I could.
