Great location and all staff from check in to departure made us feel at home and was the best ever experience ,guys keep on doing a great job..thank you all for making my sons Bday special he really enjoyed it. Food was excellent and drives were done by very knowledgeable guides. Thank you we will certainly be back.
Thank you for the most amazing stay at the beginning of September 2022 for our anniversary. Zwahili is a peaceful gem in the African bush and we came home relaxed and recharged. The staff were amazing and most welcoming. Thank you Charity for your warm welcome and continued care throughout the weekend. Frans was so helpful and caring and Salamina's cooking could compete in any Master Chef kitchen. Daniella's game drives were wonderful. She went out of her way to take my husband and I to different areas each time and each drive was made interesting by her expansive knowledge of the creatures and plants in the reserve. We will definitely be back!!
I checked in on a Monday, promptly at 2pm to get to enjoy my time here. I was welcomed with a drink and later escorted to my room Rafiki. I was the only guest during the whole two days I was there.. Firstly, the room was huge and beautiful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I had the inclusive light lunch on both days and this really kept me until dinner. On the first night, they set up a candle lit dinner for one near the fire place in the restaurant. It was so considerate and beautiful. The morning of my birthday the whole team that was on duty came to sing for me at breakfast. In the evening after a so so massage I went to my room to find a candle lit dinner, bed with flower petals and congratulations cardI guess this is typically for romantic situations a candle lit bathroom and foam bath. It really felt special. I also went on a solo game drive with the very friendly and knowledgeable ranger. Inclusive: 2 Game drives Breakfast, light lunch and dinner. For their daily rates s, I think still water could be inclusive. The food was good enough. Breakfast was my favourite. They make amazing omelettes. There are a lot of bugs during summer evenings but the nets help to protect from these. This means doors must be shut before lights on. All in all I enjoyed my stay. Spa: My least favourite of the entire experience. The massage rooms are right by the reception and very small. While the massage felt ok, I couldn't relax the entire time. 1. The lights were not dimmed 2. My eyes were not covered 3. The lady played the music very loudly from her phone. The music wasn't so relaxing either 4. The bed was shaky the entire time. I pictured myself falling throughout. Please work on this.
There’s were so many things that were not satisfactory about the place. Firstly it was the hot water at both bath and shower, we couldn’t shower because the water from the shower head came out like an angry river, and that’s cold water. There were spider webs on lights which meant the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The place needs a revamp as it is extremely overpriced for how it currently looks. Then there was the game drive, there was absolutely nothing to see except the caged lions. On a slightly positive note, the staff were amazing, friendly and always willing to assist, other than that I wouldn’t recommend it nor go back.
My partner and I were staying at the Cheetah room. the scenery, amazing, tranquil, dreamy. the service, kind and attentive. the amenities, so-so. i didn't like that they don't have microwaves in the rooms, so when you're full and it's dinner/lunch time, you can take the food to the room, but you'll have to eat it cold. plus the shower and bath hot water was inconsistent, on again, off again. couldn't shower or bath peacefully
Zwahili Game Lodge is the ultimate utopia: an experience of tranquility and enrichment unparalleled. Hidden amidst the rural farmland of Limpopo, Zwahili provides a peace of mind and fulfillment for the soul unlike any weekend holiday. As you drive through the main gate, you find yourself greeted by a world of the untouched - tales of ancient bushmen, abundant wildlife, and blood-orange skies await your arrival. Sounds and smells of the bush immediately overwhelm the senses, and sightings of native species stimulate pure joy as you humbly indulge in the earth surrounding you. The dedicated host + hospitality team radiate an essence of kindness, and curiosity is embraced as exploration is not only encouraged, but celebrated. If you seek relaxation, you must plan to visit the spa, enjoy a scenic cocktail near the pool, or admire infamous star constellations at the tribal Boma structure. Listen to lions in the still of night from the privacy of your own five-star room. The facilities are pristine, providing a taste of traditional African luxury in culture, artwork and exquisite design. The service is a breath of fresh air; each individual is happy to assist, boasting readiness and smiles visible through any face mask. Meal selections are positively delectable - the culinary team prepares each dish with delicacy and rapport, nodding to various inspirations but maintaining a sense of originality privy to Zwahili. The game rangers are impressively clever and friendly, eager to guide and share their knowledge of the bush beyond. Zwahili Game Lodge is, in every sense of the word, a haven: a safe place for all, both anticipating adventure and ensuring enchantment. Challenge yourself to leave the constant chaos behind for an air of peace and prosperity; I cannot recommend this paradise enough.
Great experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The lodge itself it beautiful and clean. The food was delicious, the game drive, Everything about this place is just . Thanks to everyone who made our stay a very pleasant one. Our highlight was the private dinner by the fire . Good job to everyone, keep it up Rooms: 5/5
We have just returned from a 5 day stay at Zwahili. The staff were so kind considerate and engaging. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and made a special effort on the day of our wedding anniversary to make us feel extra special. The food is absolutely out of this world. It was a truly memorable experience and we will definitely return.
Amazing food , the hosts were so kind and went the extra mile, great quiet environment to unplug and reflect. Super romantic setting.
Had such an unpleasant stay at Zwahili lodge. The images you see online are misleading and the lodge has not been maintained in a long time. Room had a spider web inside the shower, and basic essentials like hand wash gel, shower cap, gown or slippers were not provided. Fruits in the room were over ripe. You are not provided with complimentary water in your room, if you want water you must pay. For the exorbitant price one paid, it is honestly not a 5 star experience and I would not recommend this lodge. Sent owner an email to communicate the quality of service received and her response was, "I am sorry we did not deliver what you were expecting."
