I've been shopping here for years. Freshest non gmo locally sourced organic produce. A trusted local establishment that has survived all the big chain supermarkets.Here's hoping they don't get priced out like all the other great small businesses in nyc. Supporting this store feels good too! Thanks to all who help make this co-op a success!

Very good place to discover all organic products. love to visit again. And I would recommend every one to visit at least once.

This coop is taking advantage of volunteers for cheap labor. Here are the facts. I was interested in finding affordable organic food and was about to sign up for their working membership which means I would have to work 2.5 hours a week. The discount you receive is 20%. I did some quick math and realized if I spent 400 dollars a month on groceries (which is more then I would normally spend), my discount would still only amount to less then minimum wage for the hours I put into this establishment. This is not including the annual membership fee. GIVE THE VOLUNTEERS A BETTER DISCOUNT OR GET REAL EMPLOYEES.

Great local produce, lots of bulk food, and everything in the store is organic. Plus anyone can shop, and members get a discount. I’ve been a member for over a year and will never by produce anywhere else—it’s spectacular, especially the stuff that comes in from NY, NJ, and PA farms.

Shopping with a conscious can be very difficult, but luckily since becoming a working member at the 4th Street Food Co-op I am able to purchase delicious organic produce and bulked goods without the fear of GMOs and nasty pesticides.
