East Village Organic

Everything you want, all found in a little shop. I like going to Whole Foods because they have a great selection and good quality but it is so much nicer to get similar quality and type of selection at a small neighborhood shop. I would definitely recommend!

Super sweet staff and delicious soups made daily. Juice bar is truly wonderful as well. Only negative is it's very expensive for pretty much everything, but it's an organic food grocer in Manhattan, so it's to be expected. Great for small shopping trips or to-go meal.

East Village Organic is my go-to for smoothies & fresh juice downtown... highly recommend the MANGO CRUSH. smoothies come in two sizes medium and large. a medium smoothie runs about $7 with tax. however it's much, much more than a juicer-y -- housing a healthy selection of fresh vegetables and fruits to aisles of packaged health foods to refrigerators of everyday grocery items. East Village Organic serves neighborhood needs as a grab-and-go place for smoothies and acai bowls as well as providing a market/grocery for your kitchen needs. the layout of the medium/large space is fairly tight as space is maximized. the space is fairly big as it stretches far back. that said, the store is brightly-lit, neat, clean, and well-organized. while the placement of different items won't be intuitive per se...the friendly staff is there to help you find what you need. a tell-tale sign of this market is it always smells good like food not perfumed food. whether it be the fruits and vegetables or homemade hot soups that percolate near the smoothie bar... the staff/owners? very friendly. and feels family-run. no issue paying a little bit more to support a local biz that serves so many needs in a small radius. drops mic CUZ i'm "a smoothie criminal"

Service is always on point, but today I was "that customer" and they still upheld the usual friendliness and professionalism. Shelves are always full of the very best produce and other organic goods. No need to shop anywhere else
