I needed a mechanic to look at a used truck I was buying. The dealership was in Jersey and I didn't know any mechanics in Jersey. Luckily for me not far from the dealership was this random little garage with a million Stellar reviews from Google. So I called them up and spoke with Asher who said I could bring the truck in so he could take a careful look. And that he did. When I brought the truck to him at noon he was as friendly as he was efficient. It was clear to me I was dealing with an honest mechanic with tons of experience who would give me a qualified opinion. in about 30 minutes he drove the truck around, put it on the lift' checked every inch of it, ran computer Diagnostics, and pointed out everything he liked about it or thought were points of concern as well as all the things he thought I should do to it to keep it running strong well into the future. With his recommendation I felt confident purchasing the truck and probably brought home my new baby. I'm grateful to Asher at AA affordable auto repair for bringing his vast experience to helping me with my vehicle. And he's a nice guy like a really nice guy

I really want to like this shop, but the work performed was not worth it over time. In Sept 2016 I dropped my 2005 Explorer off and had installed a new battery, new alternator, new front brakes, new rotors, control arms, wheel bearings. I was experiencing issues with starting and I felt the front wheel bearings breaking down. When I received the truck after servicing I was told that the noise in the front wheel would eventually go away. It was a rubbing sound that worsened when I turned. It worried me enough that I called to confirm that it would go away a few days later but was assured it would. Winter of 2017 was a cold one and my truck was struggling to start up. The battery didn't have enough power in the cold weather. I was going to bring it in and have it replaced under warranty, but between his vacation and my work schedule I couldn't quite coordinate a date. Here we are at the end of April 2018 and the front end is making a lot of noise. Since I wasn't confident of the previous work performed by this shop I brought it to the dealer. I now have to replace the front wheel bearings, control arms and all those same front end parts again plus the battery. The estimate for the work is barely more than what I paid at this shop. The work this shop performed on the engine to solve the starting problems is doing fine. The mechanical issues with the front end failed me. Whether it's the fault of the mechanic or the parts chosen, these were still the decisions of the shop and so I would rather recommend going to the dealer and save yourself the time and costs. It's not that much more expensive. The shop owner (I think he's the owner) is a super nice guy. I wish my outcome was better. While I could have considered bringing these issues up directly with him, I lost my confidence in the work performed.

I will never go back. Asher lied and tried to rip me off. I brought my van in last week to have my back brakes done. Asher tried to tell my that my front brakes needed to be done as well with new rotors and everything. I knew the front brakes were still good--there was more than 50% left on the pads. Then on top of that, he did not accept the online coupon of $30 off any brake service because he said he charged me less for a part. I will say that he was very polite and answered the phone with a professional approach but, I would rather someone do honest work.

Had a great experience with the owner. He was very kind and polite to me and my toddler and did not charge me double labor due to him having to repalce the belt on my car while waiting for the pulley to be order within two days.he changed the belt so i could get to work and then changed the pulley once the car part came in. He gave me a great deal and fast and efficient service. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a good, knowledgeable, honest, fair priced mechanic...”the mechanic”, which everybody looks for and needs!...but is hard to find!...well, look no further!...Asher is your guy! Based on the reviews, I figured I would take my vehicle to him, and it paid off. He was all of that, and then some! He is very friendly, knowledgeable, honest, very fair priced, and a pleasure to deal with! The work was also done in a timely manner! If you are looking for a good mechanic, and happen to read this...I definitely recommend you give him a shot! I will continue to do so!
