Academy Sports + Outdoors

Good selection, great pricing, and helpful staff. I have never had a bad experience in this store. The staff have always gone out of their way to help anytime I couldn't locate an item.

My Academy treadmill has lots of programmable features and speakers. It takes your heart rate. It allows you to adjust speed and ramp. It also allows for you to plug in your phone for music. But they are expensive and very heavy. I would like it to come with a TV like the ones in the gym. But those are too expensive. It would also be nice to fold up and put out of sight. It is overall easy to use though. They didn't have any swimsuits but they did have gym shorts that worked as swimsuits. Overall the store is pleasant and the workers are helpful. It's more like a 'Sport Target' than a 'Sports Walmart'. I go back there once or twice per year. There is a caveat is their prices are not cheap, but I'd rather buy athletic wear that I can see in person and return without having to ship back if needed. Also not a bad place to buy ammo at times!

I think it a great sports store. Very little clerk assistance. Adequate pricing..

Love this store. Fantastic people. Great help everytime I am there. Never a problem finding anything I need.

Very helpful staff and the guys at the gun counter know what they are talking about . Wasn't sure wich 45 caliber pistol I wanted. They helped me decide on one and I love it .
