This organization is fantastic!!! They take wonderful care of their kitties, and they take the time to answer all your questions. All the kitties are in foster homes so they really can match you up to the perfect pet for you. I fell in love with an adult cat, and he is incredible!
I would adopt again from this group in a heartbeat.

I went to Petsmart to adopt a cat with Adopt a Stray. In 5 minutes my husband fell in love with a 3 month old kitten. We filled out the application and were told to wait until 5 pm to get a response. We called at 6pm and were informed that our application was declined. I currently own a 12 year old healthy cat. I declared the food my cat eats (expensive brand), his veterinarian, I own a house with a fenced backyard, work in the same job for 10 years, no criminal background... what else do you need to be approved for a cat adoption?!?! When I asked the the reason my application was declined, the lady on the phone sounded very annoyed, she said she had to go because her shift had already ended and hung up on me. Just feel sorry for the kitten who lost his opportunity to have a great loving home. I’ ve had many cats in my life, they all made it to 17 years old because I love and take good care of them.

Very disappointing. You would think that people who represent such a worthy cause would be more personable. Unfortunately, Cindy from the Pembroke Pines Adoption in Petsmart was NOT. She was very rude and very demeaning. She was bitter and it is hard to believe that someone like that could have a passion for anything especially the well-being of helpless animals. From the very moment I walked in she ignored me, when I filled out an application she said there was soooo much information missing (really was just 1 question), then when I asked questions she did not want to waste her time explaining them to me (like she had something better to do). I went in with the hopes of adopting and left with a feeling of inadequacy. Mind you I have tons of experience with cats and kittens and have adopted in the past. When I left, I headed to the Humane Society in Griffin where I was treated with respect and all my questions were answered in a happy manner. I ended up adopting two kittens. I feel so bad for the felines up for adoption at Adopt a Stray in Pembroke but unfortunately their lack of professionalism and respect would lead me to suggest you adopt elsewhere just to avoid dealing with them.
