My husband and I were so interested in adopting one of the pups at this shelter, however, our experience was awful. We visited and played with one specific dog and really did fall in love. We filled out the paperwork to apply to adopt and it was literally like PULLING TEETH to get information out of this woman. We were so excited and knew we could provide the perfect home. She was very flakey and could never give us a straight answer as to what was going on. Long story short, that poor pup was stuck in there for another two years before finally being adopted by someone else.

Not recommended! No response from owner Anna Bueno. She keeps the puppies too long and I believe that she is heartless! All the negative comments on this site, I agree with. I don't understand what her agenda is. I have tried for almost 1 year to adopt the two male Chihuahuas that my female gave birth to. I did not give them to Anna Bueno, I gave them as a pair to someone I trusted and this person did not follow through with my instructions to return them to me if there was any problem. By accident I found out that my boys were at Paws 2 care Coalition. I went there the next day. Anna was not there and I saw my boys and cried my eyes out until the volunteer finally got Anna to come over and talk to me. She refused to let me adopt the puppies and did not give me a reason why. I have since hired an attorney to help me with adopting my Chihuahuas Sons. They belong back at home with me and their birth mother. I would not recommend going to her facility for any kind of adoption. The animals that are there. My puppies have been in a cage that I call jail for more than one year. I don't call that loving and rescuing. I call that inhumane treatment.

I have been trying to contact this owner for some time now and I'm so happy I stopped to look at reviews. My dog just gave birth and I wanted to find a nice place to give her 5 puppies to so that they can find forever homes. But from what I'm reading I have no interest in working with this person. Thanks everyone!

It was a very long drive for us to go to a hard-to-find spot, but we found them. I know how difficult it is to get a non-profit off the ground, and these folks have incredibly tight quarters - however, I do think you all need to get some of that "stuff" out of there. I think the one lady mentioned you were having some kind of sale to support your organization. There is no real room to walk, and we were there for 15 or 20 minutes before we were even barely addressed and then the other lady came in and got out the dog we had seen on the internet. We would have saved a lot of time and gas if we had known how shy this poor dog was ahead of time. As sweet as she is, I want her to go to a home that will be comfortable with her, rather than trying to make her fit into ours and our very mobile lifestyle. So, though we couldn't take her with us, I hope she finds a very good home - and I hope that this organization gets more support so they can get out of this location into one that will serve their needs and the dogs needs even better. They are working very hard to help. I wish we could do more.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to adopt a beautiful dog named Marcela from Paws 2 Care. My family has been involved with Paws 2 Care for about 5 years now. Ana does a wonderful job but I can understand some of the concerns written below.
This shelter is run by one person, who also runs a small business, to split her time has to be impossible, she has several volunteers but Ana mainly handles the adoption process. It is not a quick process because she needs to make sure the dogs are heading to the right type of home because of what has happened to them in the past. I assure you that Paws 2 Care has not forgotten about you. All that I ask is that you have some patience because if you really want the dog you applied for then you should be willing to wait a few more days. All in all I absolutely adore Marcela and should I get a second dog, I will absolutely be back.
Thank you for everything you do Ana, it does not go unnoticed and you have given so many dogs their furever home and there are many more to come.
