Miami Dade Animal Shelter

Got my beautiful Bryan from here. Bryan is an 8 month old American bulldog mixed. I only had to pay $30 for him to get neutered. The people were nice to me. I spoke to like 3 or 4 different staff members and they were lovely. Most of the people here are volunteers so they're not here for the money (because there is none). I heard a guy screaming at one of the staff members when I was there and there was some back and forth arguing but that guy was acting like a jerk from the moment he stepped into the place. If you don't have patience you should probably not come to this place, not because they're slow but because you should not be getting a pet if you don't have patience. Most people when they get to a place and see a line they get in line. In this place there are no lines. When you come in tell a staff member what you're there for and they'll guide you to where you need to go. You do have to get a ticket in order to be helped by a staff member and if they can't help on the first try you have to get another ticket the second time and the third time and the fourth.... So bottom line: be patient and courteous and you'll have a wonderful experience.

The worst experience of my life! I wish I could rate negative stars. The service is HORRIBLE!!! If you ever feel like you are getting decent customer service it is likely a lie and you should double check EVERYTHING they tell you. This review is based on experience over 3 separate visits, dealing with 8-9 different employees. The facility is beautiful but that is where it ends. Save yourself hours of your life and multitudes of stress by adopting at the Humane Society.

This is a huge facility. Walk in area is welcoming. I love the small to large dog areas. Also, window rooms to look at them. I was helped finding my lost dog by two wonderful women. Great staff that seem to really care for the animals. The only issue I have was the animal clinic is extremely crowded. There are not enough veterinarians and it's understaffed.

A beautiful place the new shelter is very nicely designed the dogs have a place to hang out to meet there new parents and they have a place to play the staff walk the dogs outside so they can smell and potty outside they try to make it a place the animals won't be scared from there situation and love the fact you can see the play area for cats where they hang out up high or down low they scratching post and long rods to play with the cats or kittens the staff are very nice they answer all your questions at times it's very busy but the wait is worth it especially when you want to adopt a fur baby big or small or a fur feline big or small the even have a small cafeteria for the visitors to buy any drinks or snacks which it's a nice touch i just this shelter to grow and prosper in due time we need to educate the people of how valuable an animal is and not treat the animals like garbage i wish them well thank you
