I adopted my first fur baby from this place. They were giving her for free and I’ll always be thankful for my dog. Super sweet place nice and good people working hard.

I was a volunteer foster for over a year and still infrequently foster when needed. All supplies including toys, food, and crates are provided and the volunteer coordinator always paired me with the exact type of dog that I could take on. I let her know I was best with shy and skittish dogs to bring out of their shells and that's exactly what I brought home, though you couldn't tell from the pictures. It was a rewarding experience. Fostering does require commitments to bring in your charge to receive booster shots or to adoption events, but everyone there really loves what they do. You have to approach desk staff with certainty and confidence because they don't always notice people standing there, especially if you're quiet, and you wind up waiting quite a while.

I adopted a kitten last week. They sold me a sick kitten and refused to make her better she had worms and has an upper respiratory infection. The lady told me If something happens to her to bring her back or if she gets sick they can treat her. They gave me a list of “free” exams that local clinics do but none of them would do it for “free” because the cat is sick and it’s considered a sick pet exam so they charge because she has symptoms of being sick. When I called for help or even to buy meds they were rude and refused to help. I have fostered animals and I know they give meds to help an animal out. Do not adopt your pet here.

I called for some information about a dog. Was quickly dismissed by the woman who answered the phone as she huffed and groaned. After telling her my story twice she then took my number down to call me back. When she called back i was walking my dogs and couldnt answer. i was greeted by an annoyed voicemail by the same woman with no information and someone who couldnt even remember if i was talking about a dog or a cat. I feel like people should be eager to help a homeless animal not annoyed. Will not be consulting with them again.

I had went in on a Saturday straight from work. I immediately fell in love with a dog. It was 505. Adoptions stop at 5 even though they are open until 530. I had to wait until Tuesday to get her. (I guess staying 5 extra minutes isn't worth a dog being rescued) She ended up being super sick. They said they would offer free antibiotics. When I called (multiple times...and i started early in the morning) no one answered and didn't call me back until later the next day. By this time I had already taken the poor dog to the vet where she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, double ear infection, and her paws were super infected. I tried calling them again before I purchased the 60 dollar antibiotics from the vet but yet again no answer. They were rude from the moment we first got there and weren't even apologetic about the lack of communication. They should have employees that care just a wee bit more about the well being of these animals. I didn't see a single smile on any employees face. Pathetic.
