Sky Lounge

There's a lot to love about Sky Lounge. I eat there regularly and the menu never get...

It's good of AA to put a smaller lounge on this wing of the terminal. However, if you walk 5-10 minutes to the main lounge, it's about 5x bigger, has a free food buffet and free drinks. This small lounge does not have free drinks unless they give you tickets when you check in. And the free food isn't very exciting... Except for the made to order guacamole!

If your layover is more than six hours you may want to consider a visit. There are snacks, soda, coffee and entertainment options. The showers are a great plus. The quiet side is quieter than the regular side and the TV room is quite nice. The staff is attentive and quick. Overall, for my 16 hour layover on a rainy day in LA it was well worth the visit.

Finally the new first class lounge is open.
It was opened just before Christmas 2017.
It is huge improvement from old one. Now it looks like first class lounge, although it is still not as good as other first class lounges yet such as Qantas.
Unlike previous one, it offers real food and wines now.
It still offers showers.
There are different areas. I liked the quiet room on the corner, next to First Dining.

Flagship lounge is in par with other international lounges... significantly better than the admirals club. Good selection of food and alcoholic selections. Overall as good as other international lounges. It was ver nice and relaxing before my long flight to Hong Kong. Will visit again with my planned trip to Japan in May.

Probably the best airline lounge I have been in! Excellent food and great beers, wines and spirits! And the showers are good as well!
