Delta Sky Club

The Delta Sky Club has everything you need to unwind and prepare for your flight. We flew on a morning flight out of San Diego and we enjoyed a healthy breakfast. The bar was open! Clean and cozy. Free WiFi and comfortable seating. Love to hang out before departing.

Spending time in the Delta Sky Club at SAN, the bartender Kenny C. insisted on charging me for a gin dirty martini made with the complimentary Bombay gin. Kenny explained that the only cocktails that are complimentary are those that are poured into a glass. Any drink that needs to be stirred, shaken, or mixed require a charge. In Kenny's words, "You need to pay for the show". This is not a consistent practice across your Delta Sky Clubs, as I have ordered a dirty martini and received it complimentary numerous times, most recently this month at MSP and MCO. While at the SAN Sky Club, several other guests agreed that this bartender Kenny was not consistent with other Delta Sky Clubs as he was charging for cocktails that are complimentary at other locations.

Nice location, out of the fray. Small but very pleasant staff. They need to offer canned or bottled soft drinks tho vs having to wait to order at bar and get served in a glass with ice which can't be taken with, plus tastes horrid b/c the mix is never adjusted properly.

Very nice sky club. Great views and comfortable. It was quiet the afternoon I was there but overall I look forward to visiting again.

I recently booked a first class round trip ticket to Las Vegas. When I got to the Sky Club I was told that since I was on a domestic flight and was not using an American Express card that I couldn't enter. I've used the Sky Club numerous times without any problem and yes they were on international flights but this was bizarre. There was a couple with two young children in front of me they were told the same thing that because every one of them did not have an American Express card they couldn't enter. When I got to Las Vegas I called Delta and they were not happy. I was instructed to file a complaint with Delta which I did and I'm looking at the terms and conditions of using the Sky Club it says nothing about having to use an American Express card and it does stipulate that on domestic flights you do get to use the club. This is far from over I'm furious.
