There is something for everyone off road biking, off-road vehicles, great hiking. rivers and streams the kids love to swim in. Hunting and Gold prospecting there's even Bungee jumping on the bridge to nowhere. There is something for everyone all you have to do is look .And when it snows it gets really beautiful. Camping and cabins available . But respect the place keep it beautiful and don't come and litter and destroy what we have. remember there is a lot of Wildlife Bears ,Bobcats ,dear, snakes ,long horn sheep and even mountain lions. Keep in mind it's their home first.

Incredible views!!! With amazing sunrises seems sunsets. A quick one hour, approximately 3.5 mile hike close to Burbank with easy access to the 210. A hike for all fitness levels, you can take the hills if your up to the challenge, bring water and a towel because you'll need it or you can take a leisure walk up the fire road at your place with an incline that is comfortable. Be careful with bikers coming down the hill. Not very crowded, though parking can be tricky if you go at peak hours, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. or 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Placerita Canyon: The trails look great, super huge place! But I came to see the animals and it was not as described on their website. Mostly stuffed, animals, the people who work there seem nice but when I pulled up I could hear two employees shouting at each other. Odd. Parking is free, use of the trails and other amenities are all free too! I had a stroller a little more than an umbrella stroller and that didn't work out too well even on the really well maintained trails because of steps or sand, but when I was leaving I noticed a paved trail that I will explore next time.

Echo Mountain Ruins is a great moderately strenuous hike. 5 miles round trip. Great views of the northern and Eastern regions of LA. On clear days you can see all the way to Catalina Island if smog is light. Beautiful wild flowers and foliage throughout the hike. Ruins are fascinating and the echo Phone is a fun time. Bring plenty of water!!!

Beautiful piece of country not too far to get to but far enough to disconnect and recharge. Depending on where you go you'll be treated to beautiful Alpine scenery or expansive views of the metropolis from whence you came. Reconnect with the natural sounds and smells that can and will rejuvenate your spirit away from the overly busy life that is the city.
