I have been going to the Arlington Animal Welfare League for several years. They have dogs and cats that vary in age. They also have small animals like bunnies, guinea pig, and birds. I was looking to adopt a few years ago, but I rescued my German Shepherd.
I follow the Arlington Animal Welfare League on Facebook, and saw that they offer yoga classes with some of their animals. These yoga classes help these animals get adopted! I did two yoga classes with Beth. One was with kittens, and the other one was with puppies. I loved both yoga classes. They also have other cool events that help bring in donations!
The building is easy to find. They have a parking lot. The only reason why I give them a 4 is because the staff can give you an off vibe when you come in.

Today I had found a very ill cat and his head was bleeding and his ear looked infected. I felt bad and went to go get him some cat food. He ate everything so as I went to go get him some more I called this number. The lady seem to have an attitude on the phone. By the time they got here, the cat had left and ate a second round of food I gave him. The lady that had came was very rude, she expected me to have had the cat but I told her I wasn’t going to grab it because he looked infected plus I didn’t know if it had rabies, that’s why I called the number in the first place. So that they could handle the situation. She just had a very nasty attitude and drove off. I couldn’t even explain what had happen. Very disappointed.

Been loyal AWLA supporters for 15+ years. The staff is kind and caring. Each animal is respected and loved while in their care. Our extended family has adopted 6 cats over the years. The staff had taken the time to learn each of the cats personality. Staff advice and animal knowledge was key in making life long adoption matches for us.

Very nice facility, staff are very helpful and care deeply about the welfare of their charges. Experience here was great, took home our two new furry friends and was grateful that the shelter takes many steps to try and ensure the animals are going to be well looked after.
Also very dangerous, like all shelters, it was legitimately a struggle not to adopt Moonpie, the dog in the front lobby that day. If I only had more space and fewer allergies... Very dangerous. You will fall in love. Highly recommend.

The facility is clean nice and well organized.
The staff and volunteers are polite, accommodating and knowledgeable. The pets are properly cared for and lots of them get adopted regularly.
