Applebee’s Grill + Bar

I go to Applebee's every once in awhile when I'm on that side of town. They have a reliably good meal. I had the steak which was done perfectly for me. My medium well steaks are usually cooked entirely too much, or way too much raw meat sticking out. This one was done nicely. The vegetables were excellent. They had good flavor and just enough crunch to make it fun. On the whole a very good meal.

Would get five stars except service is sometimes not so good. I go here regularly and sometimes the service is awesome. I have had a few times that we had to wait long periods to get our order taken. It was like we were forgotten. Food is outstanding and prices are unbeatable for the quality of food.

Staff was very friendly however the food was not. The portions were so small, I was totally shocked that the sliver of salmon would cost that much. I have had salmon 3 times that size for several dollars less. My baked potato was so cold even the warm butter just sat there and would not melt. The salmon was hot though, so hot it was burned. My spouses dinner was just about the same and couldn't be eaten. Not a good dinner. I will not recommend it to anyone.

We weren't impressed. My husband and I went for half-off appetizers after 9 one night, and we were disappointed that most of the appetizers we were interested in weren't included in the deal. This would be understandable if it wasn't for the fact that when we lived in New York for the summer, we went to the Applebee's there all the time, and I think all but one of the appetizers was included. It was just pretty disappointing since we were used to it being one way and when we got to this location it was completely different. I definitely liked the location in New York better. I gave three stars because the service was decent. I do not plan on going back to this location.

Worst service. Baked potato was burned and manager said "well it is the end of the night". I'll never come back.
