Bardenay Restaurant & Distillery - Boise

The place has a nice atmosphere. Good spot to relax and have a sandwich for lunch. My wife ordered a gluten free meal, and they brought it out with a piece of bread on the plate! So it wasn't the waitresses' fault the cooks in the back probably didn't pay close enough attention to what was ordered. Anyway, they comped her meal, but we still ended up eating separately because my food would have gotten cold by the time her's came back up. If it wasn't for that mistake I probably would have given them five stars.

Bardenay is always a great option for lunch or dinner. It seems to me the menu has actually improved over the years. We tried a lemon drop and it was ever so tasty. We discovered that the vodka was distilled there and infused with lemon and lemmongrass. We had to get more! So we went to the local liquor store and for less than 25.00 had our own bottle of local lemon vodka. This tasty drink is so quality you can easily enjoy it over ice. Give Bardenay a try and see for yourself.

Good food and drink. I really don't like to give a three star review but in my limited experience here have not received very good service. I have had long waits on a few visits. It is a popular place and gets crushed at peak times. I wonder if management could do better for it's staff.

This place is over the top good. A lot of places in town charge a lot and deliver little; Bardenay is not one of those places. Our server was a delightful lady named Bri who was exceptionally attentive and fast. I have been taking my cousin around town all week and this is by far our favorite meal together. Bravo!

It was lovely to visit this iconic Boise venue at a chill, late time. Our server John was amazing - took time to give us samples of beer and wine, which helped us make a choice we truly enjoyed. We were there late- they asked our permission to put up the chairs on the other side of the room, while encouraging us to take our time. The experience truly reminded me of all the things I've always loved about Boise and the people here. This place is great at busy times too (but isn't an ideal for bringing friends w/hearing aids then as it can be a bit too echoey due to the cool high-ceiling decor).PS- I loved the soup and the portobello sandwich, and the William Church Bishop Red was more delicious than the wine I almost ordered!
