Barge Restaurant Bar & Grill

Very disappointed. A group of 6 of us went. When we arrived, they said it would be about 20-30 for a table which was fine. We grabbed a few drinks, then after an hour of no table we went back to ask for an updated time. We we were then told 45 minutes, AFTER we had already been waiting an hour. Once we FINALLY got our table, it took the waitress 15 minutes to even take our drink order, which we never even received until complaining 20 minutes later. Not to mention we never even got to place our food order. We finally just decided to go somewhere else. I was hesitate on writing a review, as the manager noticed our aggravation, as well as a few other people whom also got up and left after experiencing the same issue we did. The manager took our names and numbers and apologized stating he would be in contact and make it up to us for our inconvenience. Over 1.5 months go by and NO WORD from him. Very unprofessional in my opinion. There was no update given to us unless we went to look for staff and asked. Clearly they are very understaffed. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. I cannot rate the food , as after 2+ hours of waiting, I never even got to try it.

Nice location , they really need a rail on the walkway to this place as the River is right there and I am not sure how they keep insurance with out one. We sat inside and had to ask for a waitress since nobody came over. The waitress was nice and friendly. The food is at best bar food. Grouper salad , cheeseburger , pork tacos, and two appetizers plus two beers for 4 people was $75.00 . The place ran out of ketchup and servers were trying to run around and find it. The owner was walking around drinking and then trying to fix things but was obviously drinking. Will not try again unless we go upstairs to the bistro.

This place is so cool! It has a great view and good vibes. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. The staff was kind and hospitable. We did Sunday lunch so we got. Variety of fried avacados, fried oysters, peel eat shrimp and the pulled pork tacos. The pulled pork tacos were delicious and I would definitely get them again. I would like to go back and experience more of their menu!

Wonderful dinner on a snowy December eve. 13 of us, with very different tastes and interests, at big table towards the back. Service was knowledgeable and accommodating, drinks were great, pace comfortable - don’t expect fast food timing, thank God. Appetizers and salads spot on - Oysters Rockefeller rocked, as did pork bellies and Caesar salads. Steaks, salmon, duck entrees yummy. Try it; we’ll go back, May see you there.
