Barrel & Crow

I absolutely loved this place. So laid back and off the beaten path. The bartender knew patrons by name and was personable with an out of town stranger, also. I was made to feel welcome. The fried oyster gumbo was impeccable...from the well developed roux to the plump, juicy oyster with a breading that had the perfect amount of crisp-to-meat ratio. My only disappointment was that there was only one of those delectable treats! I considered asking for more...but that would just be greedy. I highly recommend making the move away from the trendy spots to check this place out. Just don't saturate, it's so good with a quiet crowd.

The brunch was absolutely amazing. We come here all the time for drinks but had no clue how great the brunch was. You must try the shrimp and grits! Great vibe for a whiskey spot!

The food and service were both excellent. Fish and chips, very good. The lamb pasta sauce was too sweet for my companion, but the pasta itself had a positive review.

A favorite spot of mine in Bethesda. Be sure to anticipate crowds as this is a popular spot. Lots of microbrews and whiskeys to choose from at the bar, as well as a selection of meticulous cocktails. The menu is also great. I recommend the lamb bolognese and the farm burger with duck fat fries.

Went for brunch. The food was good and service was good. Just not very memorable. Overall okay
