So Owen Brennan is the more costly version to Cajun food and this place is the economical version. I love the late night hours and option to eat on the patio. Good food, several items are full of flavor. For starters beginning the bacon wrap shrimp (boy o boy) talk about a scrumptious appetizer.  Poboys are good, pastas are good, drinks are good. Several big screens for game nights, pool table  and again, some good menu options. If you looking for a quick bite for lunch, this is the place, if you're looking to enjoy late night snack, this is the place, be sure to tip well, the servers work hard.

The quality of food and service at Bayou have drastically declined since my last visits. I ordered shrimp and grits. In the past, I've usually ended up ordering 2 servings; because, it was such a good entree. Unfortunately, this time, my shrimp and grits had pieces of shells in it, and had almost no flavor at all. About half an hour after my party of 3 had finished our mediocre meals, we finally decided to hunt down our server so we could get the check, pay and leave. I won't be back anytime soon; especially, because my guests from out-of-state were so disappointed, having been to Bayou with me in the past and having previously had a great experience. It's sad to see such a noticeable decline in both the quality of the food and the service. I truly hope Bayou can rebound from its current sad state of existence in such a fantastic location.

Was fairly packed on my visit for Sunday brunch but was sat quickly and service was good. Food was excellent and plate was polished. Not a bad portion for the price but wouldn’t hurt for a little more considering the cost.  All in all, will be back again and would recommend!

It has a small patio area which was nice on a lovely day. Bar tender Mac was great very socialable. Our waitress however is only reason I gave 4 stars. We didn't get any refills, she tried to keep someone on our parties card. We basically had to fend for ourselves out there. She shouldn't work there. Food was good.

On a Monday night at 9:15 P.M. hubby and I go in. Waitresses says seat yourself. No seats in front so we walk to back. We start towards table with 2 chairs on one side and 1 on another side with bench on wall. She comes over and tell us we can't sit there. We ask why. She says it's for a party of 6 or more. We look over, white Male sitting alone in a larger area than the one we approached. Apparently it is not seat yourself. The only other table available she told us about, which we walked right by, was under a TV.  So close you would be cross eyed to watch it or you would have a sore neck. We decided to leave.My husband wanted to take me here, for this is his hometown,  and this was one of the places he wanted to share with me. I'm saddened the waitresses made a bad call but she didn't ruin our night.
