Food is amazing! Service was a little slow. I had to get my own ketchup and chase down my own refill ( glass was empty for 10 mins or so). Server did finish strong. We will be back. Today was our 22 year anniversary, but our first time visiting here.

It was great to finally have some real Cajun food here instead if the same boring flare.  The food was good and a good value for the amount you get.  I ordered the sampler plate and took most of it home.  The corn dip with the lime flavored chips were also very good. I was hoping to try a dessert but ran out if room.

Clean, classy yet relaxed and refined. Gorgeous staff both men and women. Respectful, play and light experience while keeping the culture intact but not acting fake. Very quick service, from time I sat down to time I got my double shot of Old Forest (neat) about 2min(plus my ice water). Then shortly after my beverage of choice to my bowl of Cajun Gumbo, about another 2 maybe even 4min of waiting.
However I came on Friday at 4:49pm fairly dead however not but 6 min after I sat did the place start getting some business. And the staff love to engage with their customer's... Big plus to Roux! I will definitely return with more friends and family to bring!😎 Hungry for more!
The only reason I don't say it's a 5 is because I have not been here more than once...yet.

The atmosphere is invites you, the red beans and rice keeps you there! It's a good place for a mixed drink. The food is pretty good, there are some misses with the appetizers though. Stick to the things they make best like jambalaya, po boys, and red beans and rice.

I'm sorry but I was totally unimpressed by this establishment. My friend and I decided to do dinner and drinks for Mardi Gras instead of Valentines Day and chose to go here anticipating it to be festive. They advertised appetizers and drink specials- they only had one of each type, no variety. They had beads and masks hanging around, but no music, no band, no fun. The food I ordered was extra spicy and not palatable. I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert on Cajun food but my friend is from Louisiana and she was disappointed also. 
I'm originally from CT and it is so far removed from Louisiana but we had one Cajun restaurant there that had tons of appetizer, dessert, and drink specials. There was also music and a live band from Louisiana.
I know some establishments have a huge lease or overhead but I think it would bring in more customers by cutting prices $1-2 or doing half orders of appetizers for a reduced price, especially on holidays or special events. There is so much local talent in TN, you could even invite local musicians to come perform to showcase their music.
