My son's F150 was disabled in my driveway and needed to be towed to another location. Triple A sent this company, Brookside (they new it was a pick-up tow). The driver refused to tow the vehicle as he claimed the area was too tight. Obviously the driver was not interested in his job and/or he was not an experienced tow driver. He just drove away without helping. We asked for a recommendation/advice but he was rude. It felt like we were inconveniencing HIM. I will never call or recommend this company. Horrible, horrible service.

Quality of auto body work was good and finished quickly. Brookside worked directly with my insurance company so I had no hassle.

I wish I could give zero stars. I wish I could deduct five stars. Never have I been treated so poorly. If I had known something like, Brookside is selective on where they prefer your destination be, I certainly would have told them, OK, never mind. And called someone else. But somehow, I didn't learn my lesson until several days later. On a Tuesday, I called to have them tow me from my town to a dealership in Bergenfield because I had broken a my security lug nut's adaptor. The dealership said they'd remove my five (one per wheel, one on the spare rack) and give me new ones and a new adaptor. At about 1:30 PM Brookside gave me an estimate of 2 and a half hours. At the 5 hour mark, I called to cancel, being that my destination was going to be closed too soon anyway. I also asked if they could book me for 3PM Wednesday. They said OK. But they couldn't guarantee exactly 3:00. Later Wednesday, it was also becoming too late for the hours of the dealership, and I canceled once again. On the advice of a few friends and a local garage, I learned that several garages can remove the lugs I needed off, and simply replace them with ordinary lug nuts. My regular garage said their tool was cracked, and recommended Pep Boys in Hackensack. Saturday, earlier in the day, I called Brookside to tow me to Pep Boys. The five hour mark (2 and a half x 2, if you haven't been following) and I still hadn't heard from them. The 7 and a half hour mark (2 and a half x 3) and I still didn't hear from them. By the time Pep Boys was closed, I never bothered to cancel. Five days without use of my car. Never call Brookside on purpose. If you call them by accident, take your plates off and abandon your car for good! I imagine if you are on a roadside, outdoors, broken down. You will likely die of the elements before they rescue you.
