Blue Marlin

My family absolutely LOVED this restaurant. The atmosphere outside was very peaceful. Our server recommended the special which was filet wrapped in bacon with shrimp and a crab sauce. I am pregnant so I have to eat my steak way more done than I ever normally would and it was somehow still very juicy and delicious. Our server was amazing. We may just make a 3 hour trip again just for this restaurant!

"We came here after my daughter's graduation from Ft Jackson.(Nice little drive 10-15 min from base) For lunch we had a large group of about 15 people and we had the opt to dine outside with no-wait. (weather was pleasant so why NOT) Jayson our server he was amazing. He went over and beyond, He was very polite,friendly, promptly handle our every request, the rest of the staff that help to bring out of food they we very nice as well. The FOOD oh my goodness (we're a close family so I sampled a lot.) & Everything I had was delicious Homemade pimento cheese, fire cracker shrimp, fried green tomato's, crab cakes (Best Eva)That was just the appetizer. Some wanted Steaks so they even let us order from the dinner menu. Charbroiled Steaks-Excellent , Shrimp and grits, Catfish, home style fries, Fried Oysters (little soft I would get them fried harder next time) Vista Chicken G-R-E-A-T...Just couldn't finish all of it because of all the samples, But even re-heated later it was good. My only regret is that their is NOT one closer to Atlanta. If I ever come close believe me I'm detouring to come back to this place.

The service was pretty good. The fried shrimp was delicious as well. They didn't cut the collard greens fine enough which made it a bit chewy and hard to swallow. Other than that it was pretty good.

Classy place. Great place to bring out of state friends for taste of southern food. Right in heart of Vista night life for after. Great upscale bar if just looking for drinks. Pro tip: there's a city parking garage right past it if Lincoln St. is full.

Blue Marlin is a restaurant that is in an old train station. They specialize in seafood, but they also serve steak that is like butter. We love it and have never had a bad dining experience here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and drinks are amazing. Try the grit cakes, they are amazing!!!
