Wow! What a find! Well worth the short drive to the country. Excellent service! Decent beers (bottled), cold glass. I came on a night where they offered a sirloin special for $9.99 that included a salad and a side. What!!?? That’s just crazy! Great food!

Ambiance: Excellent (music wasn't too loud, tables were not too close together). Service: Excellent. Prices: very reasonable. ($15 for a half rack of ribs). Food: Excellent. My wife said that the Seafood Platter was very good, and my rib dinner was the best I have had in a long time.

My Boyfriend and I visited Carolina Cafe because of multiple good reviews locals had given us. Pulling up to the restaurant, there were about 15 people waiting outside with at least 30 cars parked out front so we were anticipating a great dinner. Waited about 40 minutes, noticing we were by far the youngest (at 25 years old) there, when the couple who had showed up after us were called before us. They were kind enough to draw that fact to the hostess’s attention and the hostess said we were somehow crossed off the list. Instead of walking us to the table like she had the other couple, she simply pointed to our booth. Once sitting down, our waitress brought us waters but did not offer straws. She gave all the other tables around us straws. Then, after ordering an appetizer, we also noticed that all the other tables got complimentary rolls. After serving the table next to us two servings of rolls I had to ask for some. After receiving our meal, which was nothing special, and getting to eat not even half of our entrees, our waitress gave us the check and a Togo box. We felt rushed. Once we looked at the check, we realized we also got charged for glasses of ice water. Needless to say, we will not be back.

Food was great. Atmosphere is as well. As we sat waiting for a table the wait staff showed what hustle was all about. Very impressed. Too bad we happen to get an older waitress that had no clue what the word is. The bar was near impossible to access let alone get a beer. All in all not bad

You either love Carolina Cafe or you hate it. If you're a large group looking for a private dining room to accommodate this is not the place for you, try Golden Corral. But if you're looking for an intimate restaurant for date night, even a double date, this place is perfect. The food is top notch, on my short list of favorite places to eat. This restaurant puts out food of high quality prepared by people who actually know what it means to run a successful restaurant kitchen.
