The staff is not very helpful, or well trained. Our food did not come out in any organized fashion...there were people almost done bu the time some of us were just being served. We also had some issues with a few of the tickets being wrong. The food was typical for this chain...good but nothing worth going out of your way for. Honestly I wouldn't have gone the last time but someone in my party insisted. Save your money and time.

Have a toddler who likes trucks? The real gem here is an enclosed scenic overlook of I-85!
Service outside was attentive too, since the patio is just below the inside bar area and you won’t be “out of sight out of mind.”

Wanted to come here for mother’s day, which we realize is a popular date to dine here. Tried to make reservations but they told us on the phone they weren’t accepting reservations and just call ahead on the day of. So we called ahead about 11:15 on Mother’s Day and they said there was no wait and that they wouldn’t take our name. We show up 15 minutes later at 11:30 to a packed restaurant and a hour and a half wait. We explained the situation to the hostess and she just shrugged and said hat we should have made reservations... I understand wait on Mother’s Day, but that’s no excuse for giving someone wrong information and a runaround.

So, kinda long story. I've been going here for 7+ years whenever I'm in the US. Their marinated sirloin is hands down the best steak I've ever had, every time, without question, I always get it. Tonight was the incident that finally sparked my normally lazy self to write a review. My girlfriend and I arrived at around 7pm for dinner, restaurant was packed, at least 2 10+ people parties in the place. We placed our order, the food took a bit, but I found the wait totally acceptable with the amount of business going on, so much so, I didn't even think about the wait until the manager approached us (I didn't get his name unfortunately) and told us that the wait for our food was unacceptable to their standards and that he had taken care of our bill. We hadn't complained, asked the waiter to check on our food, etc. That to me demonstrates a dedication to quality and a commit to standards that is quite rare in any industry today. A demonstration of character like that shouldn't go unnoticed, hence the review. Food was perfect too btw, should probably mention that.

I worked for Mr. Toms company (owner and manager) for one week: and I will openly admit I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life by HIM (and only him because everyone else is absolutely wonderful along with wonderful service and food)
On Easter Sunday three manager told me that it was completely fine that I wouldn't be able to make it into work because I was in Columbia and was only training. I called at 1:30 to let them know I wouldn't be able to make my 4:30 training because I had volunteered to come in that day anyways to lend an extra hand due to how crazy holidays get at restaurants. Every other manager was extremely kind and understanding and told me it was perfectly fine. He called me at 5:00 and said if I didn't come in that "it wasn't going to work out", in which I replied with "yes sir, I will get dressed and be there as soon as I can". When I got there, I did absolutely no training whatsoever, just ran food.
The next day there was drug paraphernalia found in the bathrooms and he Singled me out and called the cops, and had me come to the office with all glass windows where my new coworkers could see I was having to talk to cops. I was being accused of being the culprit because I smoked cigarettes and the needles and rubber band were found in a cigarette pack. (Not even the kind I smoke) the cop and I talked, I offered to let him go threw my bag and even drug test me, and the cop said it wasn't necessary because he had seen stuff like this before and knew I wasn't lying.
Then, today, march 3rd 2018. Tom came in and I asked him for a charger for the computer because all I was doing was taking a test. He turned around to give me the charger, and said "seriously? This shirt has so many wrinkles. Brook I just don't know about you" (as if a few wrinkles in a shirt showed how much I cared about my job and or my serving position. And proceeded to then fire me without any other explanation.
DO NOT try to work for this company unless you are a professional at ironing. No other manager saw the problem or made a comment at all. Like I said, the other managers were amazing and so were the workers. I am genuinely sad to leave them. But I have served in over 8 restaurants and am a great server with good customer service.
I then drove to Carolina ale house and explained what happened and asked for a job, explained my serving experience, and got hired on the spot without even filling out an application.
It's so sad.
When you kiss someone's feet, you end up getting kicked in the face. So disappointed in the owner.
