Gorgeous scenery. You can drive on the Parkway and enjoy the view or you can hike. There are a few restaurants to dine at. I absolutely love the mountains and in the fall when the leaves are changing it is absolutely beautiful. This is a must-see if you have not been and enjoy the outdoors.

I love the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful scenery, great people and amazing food. This area has some of the best fishing spots and hiking trails. Several stop areas beside the highway allow you to take pictures in overlooks, well maintained and with space for several vehicles. Let's keep this area clean and free from pollution.

What can you say it is the most unimaginable beautiful experience you could ever have. I had Thanksgiving and roasted a turkey breast on an open fire. Again I will never forget this adventure. The drive itself is quite an experience..Yikes! A must for any bucket list

Located in the eastern United States and part of the massive Appalachians, the Blue Ridge Mountains stretch from their southernmost end in Georgia all the way northward to Pennsylvania. Between the Blue Ridge and the rest of the Appalachians lies the Great Appalachian Valley. When seen from a distance, the Blue Ridge Mountains appear blue – the trees that release a gas called isoprene are responsible for the bluish color and thus the mountains’ name. Within the Blue Ridge Mountains are two large national parks: The Shenandoah and the Great Smoky Mountains. The best way to enjoy and get to know Blue Ridge is by taking the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469-mile-long beautiful scenic highway that runs along the ridge together with the renowned Appalachian Trail and which connects the two parks.

Always great going for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway! One of our favorite things to do. It never gets old because it always changes. To me the southern part is the best. The mountains are taller and the scenery is better.
