Bob Evans

So we were coming back home from our vacation from Tennessee to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and the rain was coming down so heavy that you couldn't drive through it any longer. We stopped off at a local hotel for the night and just across the road was a Bob Evans at restaurant. We knew we couldn't go wrong at Bob Evans because they always offer a great comfort food at a reasonable price. My wife and I both had sliced turkey with stuffing, broccoli, mash potatoes and gravy and a small bowl of vegetable soup. Our waitress also brought us out some dinner rolls with butter, they just came out of the oven and they were wonderful. I must say that our waitress was very very cordial with us, very helpful with the menu, and was a real pleasure to be around! She made a pleasant ending to a long day that we had. I travel through the area often and that will be my regular stop for either breakfast or dinner!

This is one of our favorite places to stop on our long drives between South Carolina and Pennsylvania. The food is always great and the servers are very nice. Just some things to note: the Mac and cheese isn't the best and the amount of sugar in the sweet tea is inconsistent when we visit. Other than that, everything is always great!

Worst experience ever! First we enter the restaurant and wait at the counter for several minutes to be seated. No sign for “wait to be seated” so I asked one of the many servers who watched us standing there if we should seat ourselves? Apparently this annoyed her so she took us (4 adults and 1 child) to the back of the restaurant and while we waited, she proceeded to rip chairs out from 2 tables to combine them for seating for 12! Confusing, but whatever, we still had another 4 hours to drive and needed to eat. Then, we sat and waited again for our waitress, who was pleasant enough but not attentive at all. We waited at least 35 minutes for food, while everyone around us who also arrived after us got their food! Heard several of the servers complaining to customers about how bad the cooks were. Even heard one server complaining that it wasn’t worth him even coming in, he wasn’t “making any money”. All of them took time to stand around and complain and chat with each other but paid no attention to the customers. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the food arrived cold and missing half of the order! We were too afraid to say anything and it already took over an hour for service! DO NOT EAT HERE!

Normally the food and service are amazing. It would be best to visit when it's not busy, but even when it is busy the service is still decent and the food is high quality. Would definitely recommend as a sit down meal with your family and/or friends
