La Carreta Mexican Restaurant

I am just passing through and I have consumed a lot of Mexican food so my critique may sound a little picky. The crust of the taco salad was so overcooked (brown) as to be inedible. The frozen margarita was made with the most bitter tequila I have tasted - shall I say cheap. There is a good side. Let's face it, Mexican restaurants live and die by their salsa. Their's was extra mild, which may be to the liking of the locals. It was a hit with my companion. The fajita beef/pepper/onions was tasty and portions were generous.

Been going here for many years. The food and service has always been superb until the last few weeks. Had less than perfect lunches 2 out of 3 times. Hope this goes back to the previous quality and consistency soon.

Second time we have been there. We were with a large group. Handled us with great care and helpfulness. Food was as good as last time. Make the best Pina colada.

One of my absolute favorite Mexican restaurants ever!!! For years I've only gotten one thing and that's because it never disappoints. The employees are respectful and know their regulars. No place will top this.
