Did a really great hike in the woods the other day. Still some snow on the ground but the kids and the dog loved our time alone on the trails. Easy, mostly flat hike with a short unpaved section of road that led to the parking lot that the Honda fit even had no problem with all loaded down with five people and a dog.

If you love having dozens of tiny ticks crawling all over you and your family members, this is the forest for you in the summer. We became lost so we ran out of gas, but none of the backwoods hicks would help us. But AAA finally came after a five hour wait.

Very peaceful. Great place to get away for some peace and quiet. Or to bring the family for a nice day out in the woods.

Lots of beautiful places to hike and plenty of nature to photograph. Lots of history here too, including the Jersey Central Railroad. I have been back multiple times and find something new each trip.

Good place for camping though a swimming hole would improve it immensely. My only other complaint (due to multiple ages of girls with me) is pit toilets. We will leave that joy for the boys. Beautiful scenery and trails.
