Very pretty and scenic place to go hang out with the family and learn some history while you're at it. Enjoy the Hamilton House especially during the holidays.

For the longest time I wanted to visit Veterans Park and finally I did. The park is really big but there's not much to do or see, there is trails to walk and a rather large play ground for the kiddies but that's about it. The F4 Phantom was really cool to look at as was the tank and cobra. The park just feel empty .... If you plan on visiting make sure you wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt or have mosquito repellent. The mosquito's are insane and just can't leave you alone. For the hour I was there I was eatin alive. So if your bring young kids make sure they dress accordingly !!!

Veterans Park is a great go to place by yourself, as a couple on a date, or as a parent with their children. There is something for everyone here. The park is well maintained year-round.

Good for a walk in the evenings. Have areas for picnics and small get togethers. Closes early, but the grounds and streets are open for a walk. Area is safe.
