Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

The chain feels a bit old and tired given it is based on a movie that came out almost 25 years ago. The food was very good, some of the best shrimp I've had in my life. The service was decent, especially for South Florida. One strange thing that I'm not sure is unique to the Fort Lauderdale location is that the men's and women's bathrooms are on opposite ends of the restaurant. This is weird and inconvenient if you have a family. Overall, very good, check it out if you love shrimp.

While visiting from out of town my wife and I decided to try Bubba Gump. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. For a seafood restaurant the prices are average. The food was delicious. The tables have mini license plates that say "Run Forrest" & "Stop Forrest" so the waiter / waitress know to stop at your table during your meal or to keep going.

I loved Bubba Gump's since they first started. At first it was the atmosphere surrounding the movie characters. The food was good but not exceptional. The fish and chips we're tasty for about half of the meal then got a bit heavy as the food cooled. They have a unique method for requesting service and it works. Don't expect a lot of attention unless you ask for it. Drink refills came pretty regular so I didn't need much else. It's still a fun place to go but the younger crowd may start having difficulty relating.

Our waitress was amazing! So personable! I like the question game that ties everything together. Great food and drinks, too. Wasn't fond of the cupcake I got for my birthday but it was free. Why knock a star off? :/

I'm not sure how this place is still in Business! We stopped by and the food was horrible. Service was just ok. They were nice and not that busy but still never made it back to get me another drink or a fresh water without bugs in it. I probably should have just kept the wrong food They brought out the first time. It may have tasted better than what we ordered. We both choose "Customer Favorites" from the menu and we didn't even eat half of it. We won't be back to any location or recommend it to anyone. It's always disappointing when you dine out and have a bad time.
