Budget Truck Rental

I can't understand the reviews on this place....it's like they're talking about someone else. The people here were friendly, helpful, and bent over backwards to help me find the most efficient solution to a complicated three leg rental. The facilities were clean. They had a lot of trucks available, and i was just a walk-in. It was a good experience and I will most certainly be renting from them again. If in doubt, at least go check them out before listening to those old reviews.

Next time I need a truck I will not rent from here. After finding out that budget wanted $20 more than uhaul to go 10 miles, I cancelled my truck. This was the same day, within 20 minutes. I get a $50 "no show" fee because it didn't fall within their 48hr cancellation period. I guess thats what I get for trying to book a truck for the next day.

We rented a truck here to bring back down to Medford, OR. The price was higher than competitors by quite a bit, but they were out of trucks so we had to come here. It was easy here, but we found out while dropping the truck off in Medford that they did the paperwork wrong so we had to kill another half an hour figuring that out. Budget will never be my first choice for trucks and this experience solidified that. On the up side the truck ran perfectly.

I have to admit I was extremely timid about renting from here from the reviews. We set up our reservation online about 3 1/2 weeks in advance.. After reading all the reviews, my husband called the day before just to be sure we would have a truck as we were planning to make a long haul drive to Arizona. The steering to the truck pulled to the right and going through the cascades with the snow covered highway was to say the least terrifying. The seats were filthy, and all around the interior just covered in black mess. The 3 stars are really only to be polite as the truck and trailer were ready upon arrival.

Get a U-haul!!!! staff is completely unhelpful, and rather rude, even the fine print on the contract online didn't say anything about the issues they would not work with us at all. first time renting refused to take back a car hauler that we no longer needed, then the truck breaks down in the middle of the night and we got absolutely NO be help from budget. Then we gave them a second chance and they would not even try to work with us for a payment from me for my son even after I called customer service and they said that a payment could be done it was the discretion of the rental place. Both times my family was moving out of state and it was too late to get another company, NEVER again will I use Budget!!! I will pay the extra to get someone more determined to help, it is true "you get what you pay for" they are cheaper but not worth it.
