Cafe' Acadiana

WOW! Really fantastic food here. Everything we had was outstanding. I will come back frequently. Owners are great people too. We had a nice conversation before leaving. Gumbo was great. BUT....you have to try the boudin balls. I could put the sauce on a shoe and it would make the shoe taste good. Support this local restaurant. We need more of this in Baldwin county.

Excellent service and food is perfect every time! I'm not much of a drinker, but if you are then all you do is bring your own alcohol. (The restaurant encourages you to) It's pretty neat, a man came in while we were dining and was not aware of them not serving alcohol. The woman next to him shared her wine.

Not sure what to say, food was not that great had lunch special. Shrimp and Catfish, shrimp was not firm and very little flavor, catfish crunchy and strong brackish water taste. We drive back and forth past the Acadiana restaurant frequently and have wanted to stop and try it's food and atmosphere. Neat little country restaurant nothing fancy. Prices are over the top, we both had the same meal deal for lunch, shrimp (few) and catfish (2 filits), side salad (small), and green beans, 2glasses of tea. Just under $40.00 with a twenty percent tip. Could have dined at one of the upscale restaurants on the beach for lunch with great food and atmosphere for less money. So I don't feel good about. recommending the Acadiana for the above reasons.

As a disclaimer, I will state my grandson is one of the chefs. However, I visited Cafe Arcadiana before he worked for them and they have always had wonderful food and good service. If you like Cajun cuisine, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Great staff and owner. Takes pride in his food preparation and presentation. Best steak and shrimp I’ve had. I definitely recommend this restaurant. And if you need a caterer, his food is always fresh and just as good as his restaurant.
