This is by far the worst, most misleading event I have ever attempted to vend at. The vendors and entertainers were made many promises of which none were kept - including numbers through the gate. While I can't speak for each individual - many will agree we were misled and, in many respects, outright told non truths. It was embarrassing that the few patrons who did manage to find this place - had very little entertainment for their gate fee and wandered around best as they could with few places to sit, no shade nor relief from the horrendous heat. I was asked if we had a nurse's station as people were literally feeling sick from the heat and no place provided for them to get out of the sun. With this said - I quite enjoy doing new events - and just as well understand they typically aren't well attended the first year or two. However, I've never had an event owner and people involved be so outright dishonest in their promises and projections. My mother literally caught bronchitis trying to vend in the heat.....I had to buy a generator in order to run my equipment as the promised electric was never installed. Repeatedly, I spoke with vendors who weren't treated fairly - some accused or threatened over a number of things. I was made aware the jousting horses weren't provided food by the event owner as promised....and witnessed other helpless animals stuck in that heat .without proper care. In the beginning, there were high hopes for this event. However, as the weekends went by - realized this event was more of a sham than an actual event. It's a shame the people involved weren't honest. I will not be returning and wouldn't recommend vendors, entertainers nor patrons to subject themselves to empty promises and dishonesty.

Canterbury sits on a beautiful plot of land. A small lake at one side and lots of room to grow. The people are welcoming and friendly. Not much activity for the weekend but new contacts and friends were made.

A small town faire, but it was grand opening weekend. There were several vendors with some great goodies. Great entertainment & shows & I highly recommend a delicious turkey leg from the Knight's Quarters in the building next to the jousting field! Can't wait to see how this festival grows.

It was boring. No music playing. I felt like the only couple there who weren't part of the show. I'll just wait for Scarborough!
