Plano Balloon Festival

We went twice to the Plano balloon festival and enjoyed the event with family and friends. It was so crowded and there were lot of stalls selling and promoting products and services. Luckily the weather conditions allowed the parachute jumps and it was so cool to watch them land in a precise location. Concerts then started and variety of food stalls was available to purchase foods. Finally the much awaited balloons were blown and its too beautiful to see when they have all flicker around the same time. Parking was little far from where the event was and had to walk a while. Don't forget to take chairs or mats, sunglasses and coolers.

Plano has the best and largest hot air balloon festival in Texas. Three days of colorful celebration in a beautiful park location.

Horrible. No signs indicating parking lots are full so you sit in long lines to drive to the lots advertised on the website to get turned around. Went for the Saturday night balloon glow because I've been to the event in Saint Louis. Which is amazing. Plano event .Wow one balloon. Really? Yeah only balloon I saw was the Bilbo bread balloon. I arrived in Plano at 730 took 40+ minutes to park got into festival at 820 and balloon glow was supposed to last until 845. Nothing. Don't waste your time or money. The rest of the event was on par with a typical fair event . Tents with advertisers, some games, some kiddie rides, and a lot of food you would never go eat if it wasn't at a fair. Incredibly disappointing. After telling other friends they all said they quit going for much the same reasons.
