Best zoo around. Has everything, from tegu, to cranes, red pandas, lions, sloth bears, to giant tortoises. Water park area for the kids to cool off. Indoor areas for birds, lizards, general nocturnal animals. Kids had a great time, and we did too. We had a season membership, but day passes are relatively inexpensive. You won't leave disappointed. We've been going now for almost 20 years.

For what it is (a very small zoo) it does it very well! Their main attraction is the Lion Den, but they have a good variety of animals including a nocturnal exhibit. They have a large playground just outside the zoo (free to public) and inside the zoo a nice splash pad. It is perfect for younger kids that might not have the stamina for larger zoo. Season passes are great for repeat short visits on nice days.

I have been a part of this zoo for the past 17 years. I have spent enough time here to get to know each of the wonderful keepers, who work to keep everyone of the animals happy and healthy. They have a wonderful education program teaching people about wildlife and ecosystems of the world. There is a wonderful volunteer program as well, allowing youth to instruct the public on exhibits, answer questions, and help out with the summer zoocademy program. I have loved my experiences in this zoo. It is a wonderful size for an afternoon and a wonderful place for toddlers wanting to learn about animals and the world they inhabit. I have so loved this zoo that I have asked to do my Eagle Scout project here. It was approved and I am now making a nature trail along the side of the pond next to the lemurs. I am so glad that I am able to leave something of my own with this zoo, to give back something for all it has given back to me.

Kids love it here. Nice shady areas. Fun for all. The zoo was very busy today. One of the younger girls/staff was not very pleasant. She was rude and presented extremely annoyed by everything. Today was 90 degrees out the splash pad had every square inch with families and their children.

It's a wonderful little zoo. The prices are excellent and the animals are generally fairly active. It's about a two hour visit to see everything. It's a great family place. (Bliss Dairy is not far away, if you want to add some delicious ice cream to wrap up your family time.)
