Charlie's On the Lake

If I could give zero stars I would. We had several parties and joined two tables together. We had literally just sat down and were just starting to order when we did the courteous thing by mentioning we had the PinPoint app for the free appetizer for 2 of the parties and the wait staff said they would only honor 1 not two. When my husband politely questioned why when we could separate the tables again and asked to speak to the manager, the manager Scott came out and abruptly us to go eat somewhere else! He kicked out what would have been a $500 order by the time the 10 of us ordered and ate - over a polite question about an $8 appetizer! Literally ruining Mother's Day for 3 mothers, a birthday and a wedding anniversary. Never in all my years have I had such bad customer service in all my life. Last summer we frequented this place almost weekly. I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again.

They give you a lot of food with absolutely no seasoning. I had a steak with fries, with a side of grilled shrimp. They don't have a regular baked potatoes and they have salt, black pepper and pretty good Cajun seasoning on the table. Once you sprinkle all of those seasonings all over your food-- it's not bad. The service was excellent! Very quick and courteous. That's the reason that I'm going to try it again. I guess I'll get pricey king crab legs next time.

Food was great. I was there for an event and the event room was nice. There was only 1 bartender throughout and she was BUSY! They were short staffed but even through all that craziness they made sure we were all served and happy!

Nice people. Been going there since it opened. Better half loves the patio on temperate days. Good wine prices. Love Cakebread!
