Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar

This place is a true gem. The staff were awesome, kind, and obviously care about the customers overall experience. The guys at the bar checked with me every couple of minutes just to make sure none of my needs went unattended. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Not to mention surprisingly cheap. 4 blues for roughly 8 bucks with tax. The fisherman's combo consisted of fried shrimp, calamari, and fish. Fried shrimp was perfectly cooked as well as the calamari, I was given a Thai chili sauce to dip the calamari in which was a mind blowing delicious experience. Only negative thing i can say about this place is solely going to be based on my personal preference. That being said, I like my fish batter to be crispy. I'm not 100 percent sure what batter they use on the fish but it wasn't what I was expecting. However it was still cooked perfectly. My whole meal including the oysters was about $20.00. If you're looking for awesome seafood in a laid back atmosphere that won't break the bank than look no further.

Totally friendly people working there. They are always helpful and greet everyone when they enter and thank them when they leave. One of my favorite places.

Travelling cross country means long days and iffy food choices. This place doesn't just hit the spot...it DESTROYS IT! Very good food and a great selection of beers. You will not regret trying this place.

Good food, great for fish, but be ready to wait, popular place, doesn't take reservations.
