Classic Performance Restorations

BEWARE OF THESE GUYS. They claim to know boats and boat repair/restoration. Don't let their shop with expensive cars fool you as it did me. Here is my story: I started off with having them do a small amount of restoration work, but was talked into repairing/redoing the entire boat. After 3+ months and about $6,000 in parts/labor I got the boat back. Initially, it looked ok, however as soon I got home I realized that I may have made a mistake. The boat had been left outside and was covered in dirt/leaves inside and out, so I broke out the vacuum to clean it up. Well, they used carpet so cheap (like .99 a foot cheap, not marine grade carpet), that the vacuum literally pulled the fibers out like butter, leaving a bald spot in the carpet. Keep in mind, this was the SAME DAY I picked it up. I brought it back and asked if they could install what I paid for. Well, then I'm told I have to pay an additional $400 to upgrade (they had already billed me $500 for this service). I hesitantly agreed and dropped it back off. About a week later, I got it back, new carpet seemed ok. I now know that they simply put the new over the old crappy stuff. Well, obviously now, about a year later, the carpet is falling off in several places, leaving me to repair it. I wish this was all that was wrong. I found overspray in several places on brand new vinyl as well, but after the carpet, THEY WOULD NOT RETURN A PHONE CALL OR EMAIL. Now, I'm finding that parts they claimed to have replaced were actually either glued together, or left competely alone. Also, instead of using gaskets in several very necessary areas, they used silicone which has led to leaks and over heating They also put things together missing parts, bushings and orings. They absolutely are hacks, in every sense of the word. I have redone everything except the vinyl (which they didn't do, it was out sourced). There is more, but I'm sure you get the idea. After finding a quality professional to repair their work, I understand how lost they really were. STAY AWAY!!!!
