Clews & Strawbridge

Agreed to purchase a boat from these guys over the phone. Told them I would come by that afternoon to pay and pickup. No mention was made of a deposit over the phone Rent a truck, drive 2 hours on toll roads... When I arrived, was told "that boat just went out the door" The further explained: this has happened before. "We're in the business of selling boats" Well, how about act professionally then and if a deposit is required; request one. Total waste of a day off, truck rental, gas and tolls!!!!!

Had my Outdrive repaired, another place could not fix it, Clews did it Fast, and Cheaper than the other place , and the Boat is running GREAT !

Clews and Strawbridge is the place for all of your boating needs in the Delaware Valley! Jack is honest, knowledgeable and kind. I always receive excellent, no pressure, take your time advice from the staff. This business exemplifies "Customer Service."

Not too honest or professional I am afraid. I used their service dept in 2011 for my 2004 Yamaha Waverunner and had a very poor experience. I went in there for a battery and to handle a minor recall item (throttle body). Nothing else was wrong before that. But once they got my boat in there they insisted I needed $1500 of additional work due to some misfiring cylinder or something that they found. I declined the additional service because I never had any problems with the boat before and was not sure I believed them. The service manager acted insulted that I would not take his recommendations. Well, here it is 4 years later and another dealer has even seen it 2 years ago for an oil change and told me that my engine runs perfectly. It runs like a champ and never had a misfire of any kind. Now, here's why I am writing this today. Back in 2012 I noticed right after the service visit that Clews' technicians had left off 2 of the 5 bolts on my front access panel when they changed my throttle body for the recall. I was upset when I first saw that 4 years ago and called them right away to leave a message about it. Nobody ever called me back. Today I was wiping my boat down like I always do after using it and I saw those missing bolts again and it got me angry thinking back how poorly I was treated at this dealership. Really, Yamaha should investigate Clews & Strawbridge to be sure that their customers are not being systematically cheated.
