Ordered sofa and recliner September 23 , still waiting. First it would be here around Thanksgiving, then we got a call that the material for the throw pillows to the sofa was out of stock and would be back in stock around Christmas, then it would be after New Years because the warehouse would be closed for the holidays. Then it was going to be delivered this Thursday, so we got rid of our furniture. Today we get a call, sofa was dropped during shipping and frame broke. I've had it. Granddaughter warned me about this. Took almost a year to get her sofa, same story about material out of stock, then workers on strike, then gave her a different material than what she ordered.

I have made two purchases at Colony House in the past two years and both experiences were great. The family who owns the store are all extremely nice and helpful, but they also don't hover over you or try to "sell" you anything. They offer advice and help you find the best deal for YOU.

We moved into the Fayetteville, Pa. area last fall. We had a whole house to furnish and did not know where to go. I remember buying some furniture for my Son here years ago, so he suggested why not at least see what they have to offer as our taste is more modern. So we went into the showroom with an open mind and met Sheldon one of the owners Sons. He listened to our needs and we told him about our one dilemma as to we had no idea of how to place a sofa in our open family room. So he went over and brought his father over to further discuss it with us. We were in luck that Mark offered to come out to our home that same night and he was able to suggest a solution to our problem. We are so very happy with all of our purchases with this company and would totally recommend them to anyone who does not want someone to follow them around like you are buying a new car, however will check on you periodically to see if you need help. If they did not have what I wanted I asked them if they had any catalogs that I could look through. This is a pressure free company. We have been extremely happy with them along with the delivery team and anything that we had a problem with which has been very minimal. I just recently learned that they sell window blinds as well. I was thrilled with the aspect of dealing with them once again given their outstanding prices and above all the commitment to their customers. There prices on the blinds were less than half the price of Hunter Douglas that I received from a company in Waynesboro, and with Lafayette blinds being in business for over 60 years and made right here in the US was a plus. I was thrilled to find out this service was available to us as there are not many stores up here in the area that do this. The blinds are sold in the Gettysburg store just a short drive to meet with Kaitlin an extremely nice person who is there to help answer all of your questions. Her along with another employee came out to measure and the order was placed. We are so looking forward to receiving them. As you can see, I could write a book on this company, but feel they have made our lives so much easier and less stressful with their expertise, kindness and great communication. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome and once you get to know them, they are part of your family. So thank you all so much for making us feel welcome and caring.

I have never in 58 years had such a great experience with any other company as I experienced with Colony House Furniture. They stand behind the furniture they sell 100% I would recommend them to anyone looking for furniture.

Very nice showroom. Staff doesn't hound you or follow you around, but will check to see how everything is going or if you need help. We wanted to compare prices around town and did at a few other places. Came back and were able to negotiate price and got our beautiful living room set (sofa and loveseat) for a great deal. Never felt pressured. Go check them out. I feel assured that we got quality furniture at a very reasonable price that will last a long time. We'll definately be back. Thanks again! ☺
