I had a very strange experience with this company. I called regarding respite care for my elderly father for a few days while I was going to be out of town. I started explaining our needs to a woman named Karen who answered the phone. Her response to me was “Is this temporary? We don’t do temporary. We just don’t.” And then she hung up on me! I find this odd because they advertise that they do respite care, and they have in fact, done temporary care periodically for my Mother a number of years ago, but in any case, what legitimate company handles phones so unprofessionally? It makes you wonder how professional they would be in the care of their clients. My experience with them in the past with my Mom was largely positive, and I see that the other positive reviews occurred in the distant past as well. As a nine-year caregiver, I was hopeful that this respite care would lead to something more permanent, but clearly after my experience and reading recent reviews, this is not the kind of company I want to employ. Perhaps they have had a change in ownership since I last dealt with them because this most recent experience is no way to run a business!
RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:
Listen to the recording that you stated was being made. That is not what happened. The call was not handled professionally. You would be wise to take the criticism, and fix the problem instead of trying to lay the problem on someone that wanted to give you her business. I have found an alternative on my own, and will be calling to get my parent’s deposit back from your company.

Here is the Jist about Comfort Keepers, they are extremely inconsistent when it is about giving you hours when you are a PCA for them. There's a lot of instability so if you are looking to make ends meat, I don't recommend them whatsoever. Management is unorganized and when you make a mistake because they didn't do their job right. They will pin it on you! I was there for a month and I was mainly fired for those reasons. They try to cover their behinds by giving you a warning and finding a way to fire you there after. They almost beg you to take shifts and tell you they love you for helping out. It is just sad and hypocritical lol because they give you shifts and then take them away. They won't call you back to offer you another shift even though they claim they will. As an employer they aren't to be trusted. One week I think they gave me 4 hours of work, I don't recall perfectly well but that's how little you will be making here the taxes that they remove for health care, social....they even risked my life. Never have I been fired from any job and I regret ever supplying my labor to them. The sad part is that the clients do need us PCAs and they have to pay for this companies irresponsibly as an employer. If you go in for an interview and risk working for them. You will see exactly what I am speaking of and more that I have not said on here for legal reasons. They give you pitty hours and tell you to hang on that they will look for more hours for you. Leading you on with promises they will never complete. In a way it didn't matter that they fired me and in a way it did. Because I am a good employee with lots of recommendations and references. I wouldn't be surprised if they take out a revenge on me for this review. This is my honest review and I speak/write nothing but the truth as a dedicated Google guide so you don't run into the same issues that I did when coming to Las Vegas. I got to meet Lonnie, the owner of this franchise, he seems to be a nice person but it's too bad that he has horrible people as management in the office.
