Cruise America RV Rental

I don't usually leave reviews, but in this case I feel it's extremely important. I wish to preface that I have rented numerous times from various cruise America locations (under my name or friends' name) and only have issue at this location. Upon arrival to pickup the RV I was informed by the the agent that his policy is "guilty untill proven innocent", meaning he will charge us everything possible unless we can prove otherwise. Having no other choice I had to proceed. I will mention that the service was extremely slow and took quite a few hours. For example, he will assume that we used the bathroom and therefore will charge us a dumping fee and a winterization fee unless we can prove that we didn't use it, which is practically impossible. His idea was to tape the toilet seat/sink/shower (drain) shut and writing with chalk on the tape, thereby "proving" that it wasn't used. Problem is that if the chalk rubbed off he automatically charged for it!!! Although we all know that it wasn't used!!!! And he will admit it himself, but say that since the chalk came off we get charged. The DMP fee was $50 and WTR was $37.50 Additionaly, every rental will include minute dirt or footsteps that are hard to remove. At this location I got charged a clean up fee for the RV although I spent a long time having them cleaned. Every car/van/truck and even RV rental etc. Overlooks basic dirt as a result of basic use. Why should cruise America be different? The HKG fee was $150!!! When I tried calling him a previous time he replied with a curt "it was dirty" and did not agree to discuss it. I was also charged a DAM fee of $150. When I tried calling him a previous time he replied with a curt "it was damaged" and did not agree to discuss it. I don't feel it's fair to be charged for damage without being told what it is, and that it wasn't like that when I picked it up. Additionally unless you can prove that the fuel tank was refiled to the correct amount, you will be charged.

Do not rent from this place!!! They will charge you for everything (extra services) under the sun, regardless of whether you used it

When I ask them about the road restrictions with driving an rv they have no idea. They give me a rv that when going over bumps the mirrors move leaving me blind. Charge for extra stuff without telling you about them during the initial set up. Would not recommend this place at all.

Very nice staff. But they charge for things u don't use.
