Really impressed with this place. It's been a few years since I've had my bikes serviced so it was time to get them tuned up for the upcoming season. I needed my rims straightened, Tires aired up, Chains lubed, Breaks checked, So on and so forth. I walked in on a busy Saturday afternoon with two bikes. Staff was very helpful, Quoted me a price and told me they would be ready by Monday which was perfect. Not only were the bikes done on the time quoted, But they even polished them up making them look brand new. When it was time to checkout and pay, They charged me LESS than what was quoted which was a great surprise. It's refreshing knowing that there are still good companies out there that go above and beyond for their customers. A+

After visiting most of the bike shops in the Indy area over the past three days, I walked out of DG with a brand new mountain bike. The guys here were awesome. The atmosphere was super laid back and I didn’t feel any pressure to buy anything. The guys were informative, honest, and I didn’t feel judged for being a novice rider who knows little about bikes. I got a GREAT deal and would definitely come to this shop for any of my biking needs. Scott, thanks for your help in getting me on a bike in preparation for my trip to Moab!

I hate to leave bad reviews, but this place really deserves one. If I could give zero stars, I would. They failed us on many accounts with quick turnaround (24h) being the only positive.
I just needed my bike chain replaced. I haven't ridden a bike long, but I've had a chain replaced before and the shop (in the southern U.S.) was able to install for free after I purchased the chain for $20. I was expecting to pay around $35 all told at DG. Here's where I was wrong.
Here's why I am leaving this bad review:
1. DG charged $50 for a chain (we did not specify a budget, so I take the blame on that), AND $20 for installation. We went to a different bike shop and told them the model of the chain that was installed and they said MSRP is $25...DG charged DOUBLE the suggested retail price. I get raising the price by $5, we all need to eat, but DOUBLE. Absolutely ridiculous. This other bike shop also seemed surprised by the upsell.
2. The reputable bike shop also said their installation fee is $9. So DG charged us double.
3. DG is cluttered (I tripped on a bike simply walking in the door) and the staff unfriendly. The salesman helping me did not ever look at me or ask me anything other than to say "ride fast, take chances" when I finished my transaction. I made eye contact with many other workers and was not greeted.
Lesson is, shop around, or at least don't patronize this business. I assume they thought we did not know what we were doing, and they took advantage of us. I'm out $73, but have learned not to deal with this business. Be very wary or just try another bike shop down 86th or literally anywhere but here.
