I really enjoyed this center! I visited on a whim (after leaving the LBJ Library) to explore an exhibit on the history of the South, and I was certainly impressed. They had the actual pen used to annex Texas to the Union in 1845. They had survey chains used for the original Texian colony under Stephen F. Austin. They had a recorded interview with a former slave in Texas. I now have a deep respect for this archive which I never even knew existed.
