Amazing spot to spend a couple hours especially if you're a history buff. There's an absolute ton of information. Every piece has detailed information located close by and there's a wide variety of artifacts from small to large. Cheap admission and they even participate in Bank of America's Museums on Us program. Great for all ages. They even have a decent Cafe on the second floor with very reasonable prices.

If you are proud Texan you must visit this awesome museum while in the gorgeous city of Austin . Learn about the states industry and the changes it’s faces throughout the years! This museum offers a great experience for those who simply like to nerd out. Promise it’s worth the price, Parking garage is 10 bucks and entrance is about 12 dollars approximately

I really enjoyed visiting this museum. It has a lot to offer concerning the history of Texas. There are movies, hand on exhibits for the kids, plenty of displays and a helpful staff to direct you. We didn't even get to see everything in the few short hours we had to visit. I highly recommend at least one visit.

Been to several museums, and this has to be one of the better ones. Not just in content but also in being well maintained, beautifully kept and logistical and aesthetic design. Many interactive exhibits throughout the three floors of history. The video presentations throughout also are professionally made and are constantly updated. Well worth the trip, many guides around to help with questions or provide additional details. From beginning to present day - the history of Texas lives here. Other additional options like Imax, and the spirit theater are also in this museum. Usually they also have special limited time traveling exhibitions.

Received a fantastic history lesson about the La Belle from the staff! My small group had a one on one for two hours about the ship and how it changed America. There are staff through out the museum that tell you more about the exhibits.
