Walking through Dow Gardens is always a pleasant, relaxing experience for me. There are many places to enjoy natural beauty as well as sit down and rest in the shade (or sun) if alone time is needed. Bring a lawn blanket, water and a snack and you're set for some rest and relaxation. Fun to bring kids as well, especially during butterfly exhibitions and when the children's garden is growing. Young kids get in free, they have discounts for students and it's only $10 for an annual pass.

Such an awesome, beautiful, huge place. Absolutely LOVE Dow Gardens. I recently took on the challenge of the Ribbit Exhibit. There is a "Scavenger Hunt" you can do, to find all of the Frogs. Which made me realize how HUGE this place really is, areas I never knew existed, like the Children's Garden. I have been going there for next to 30 years, but now with my new exploration, just overwhelmed in great way of the beauty. I highly recommend you take time to visit this awesome place.

Great place to take a young child to learn about nature. Taking a trip with your whole family on a Sunday is a great idea this summer! They have a cool scavenger hunt with frog statues going on right now, engaging kids and even adults.

Went there was the grandsons to visit the butterfly house and they had a great time. They gave us a handout with pictures of all the different butterflies and my 3 year old grandson had an awesome time going through each butterfly in the handout and trying to find them flying around in the house. It is very hot and humid in there so dress accordingly. It's $5 to get in, but plenty of beautiful scenery walking to the butterfly house. Definitely worth it!

Great programs are available (butterflies, tree climbing, gardening, candlelight walks, outdoor movies, live concerts, story hour, etc.) for a reasonable price. The blooms are breathing in the Spring and continually changing through the summer. Great place for getting outside for all ages (there's even a children's garden with bubbles, a sand box, and pump with watering cans!).
